Oh the joys of soccer...

So I am playing soccer with the Gainesville City Soccer league w/ some people in my program...we played our rival team this sunday. We were both undefeated so of course we had to win....so you could imagine how rough the game was:) but the most important thing is that we won!!!!!!!!!! 5-0 baby!!!!!!!!!!!! however, I did get a nice ball-to-the-leg mark...you can see in the picture the outline of the ball stiching on my leg with a nice oval of bruises under it where the edge of the ball was...and yes it hurt!

manatee's galore:)

This weekend Ben, Jeremiah, Mark, and I went to Blue Springs State Park to try and find lenny the manatee:) It was a beautiful day to visit the park.

We got to see 3 manatee's total but no Lenny:( This was the last weekend to see the manatee's in the spring before they go back to the river for the summer. We saw 2 babies and Dana the mom manatee.


Most people think the manatee's are slow but oh my can they swim!!!! they are really fast, well when they want to be;) They were definatly cute and unfortunatly I couldn't get a good close up of them. On of the babies came right up to the water's edge to say hello but by then my camera went dead. I can't wait until next winter to see Lenny!!!!

this was a turtle we saw just chillin' in the sun:) There was also a gator but I couldn't get my camera to focus in on him so I don't have a picture but he was huge!

I love Florida!!!!

so apprently winter is over in florida (only 4 total cold days)....I walked out my front door this morning to a lovely 65 degrees and sunny!!!!!!!!!!!! and I have been smiling all day:) this place is GREAT! So i'm excited this weekend I'm going to go visit Lenny the manatee at Blue Springs State Park and then travel to the beach(hopfully cocoa beach) for a little sun action:)

35 degrees and 27 w/ the wind chill...

so 9 am this morning I had to play a soccer game and it was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!! I thought I lived in florida....and now I was just taking a break from my studying and we are under a freeze warning WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! perhaps some snow in the future....

wasn't I just at the beach when it was 70 and sunny????? I thought atlanta had weird weather....

I want my money back...

so today's weather is shitty (though I should complain since the last 2 weeks have been beautiful)...and I'm in a blah mood....I was sent this wonderful pic and it put a smile on my face so I thought I would share it with everyone else in hopes they would at least chuckle at it;)

you just never know...

so I got a phone call from my mom last night with news I would have never suspected...My Aunt Nancy suffered a mild stroke yesterday and the severity is not known. To add to it, my aunt mary (another of my mom's sisters) might have lung cancer...they found a nodule on her lung and she has to go in for futher testing. It makes you sit down and think about a lot when you get news like this. Kind of makes all the petty shit in your life seem non-existant. I hope they are both ok...I'll know more this afternoon when my mom calls...
