This weekend Ben, Jeremiah, Mark, and I went to Blue Springs State Park to try and find lenny the manatee:) It was a beautiful day to visit the park.
We got to see 3 manatee's total but no Lenny:( This was the last weekend to see the manatee's in the spring before they go back to the river for the summer. We saw 2 babies and Dana the mom manatee.
Most people think the manatee's are slow but oh my can they swim!!!! they are really fast, well when they want to be;) They were definatly cute and unfortunatly I couldn't get a good close up of them. On of the babies came right up to the water's edge to say hello but by then my camera went dead. I can't wait until next winter to see Lenny!!!!
this was a turtle we saw just chillin' in the sun:) There was also a gator but I couldn't get my camera to focus in on him so I don't have a picture but he was huge!

Too cute! I've never seen a manatee up close outside of an aquarium before--that's awesome :)
yeah it was super cool! next year you'll have to come down to see them...
im glad you had fun in the nice warm weather while i was cold and wet at the zoo all weekend.

awwww you'll be here soon enough;) and it will nice and warm then...we'll go to the beach!
The pictures look awesome; happy manatees! (Bubble, bubble.) I hope I get to see them one day, there are no manatees in Switzerland. :)
